Damage in Transit

In spite of all our efforts, there can sometimes be events resulting in damage of your parcel and your ordered items. Despite careful packing damages in transit can be never completely excluded due to the put fully automatic dispatch systems and improper treatment.

What do at damages in transit?

We then arrange the necessary with you. Never send damaged in transit goods back on your own, since you can not prove this way a damage in transit. In this case you as sender must prove, that the damages did not occurre at return what will be hard to prove in doubt.

Obviously damaged shipments

In such cases you should not sign for the parcel as "unchecked". Please note that this will not effect on any claims for compensation. With your signature you not only confirm the receipt of the goods but also the perfect outer condition of the delivered parcel. It will only make it quicker and easier for us to process your claim and recover our loss from the carrier. Then, contact our Customer Services team within 5 days of the delivery date and follow the returns procedure above. Please note, it is essential that you inform us about the damage within 5 days of the delivery date to ensure that your claim is valid.

At already externally recognizable damages to the shipment you should - if ever possible - check the contents in the presence of the forwarding agent immediately for completeness and for unobjectionable composition.

In the case of damage claims for compensation are excluded if you don't check the delivery immediately and list missing or damaged items. Always let the forwarding agent fill out an damage report. Please, take into consideration: a reservation with regard to later complaints with respect to damages in transit or completeness at externally damaged shipments has legally no meaning.

Hidden damages in transit

Goods delivered to the customer shall be accepted by the customer and the customer shall inspect the goods immediately upon delivery and in all cases shall inform Budoten in writing within 5 (five) days of delivery of any damage, shortages or non delivery of the goods. After discovery any defect must be immediately criticized in writting, by e-mail, letter or fax. Each notice of effects must be enclosed with the invoice. Later discovered defects which can be explained by an improper treatment at the transport aren't appreciated and replaced by the insurances any more.
