Budo is the way of the traditional Japanese martial arts. Mabuni Kenei is followed to this day by nearly eight decades this way. He belongs to the last masters, who have moved from the founding fathers of the modern Karatedo in the teaching. The son and heir of Mabuni Kenwas, the founder of shito ryu, is reached in the course of his life to a deep understanding of the essence of karate as a martial art Budo. Lively, engaging way he knows how to bring this extraordinarily complex and multi-layered knowledge to the reader. This is done in the form of memoirs, technical explanations, historical and philosophical designs, legends and anecdotal stories from the life of famous Samurai and Budoka (master of swordsmanship, the Aikido, te and the karate Okinawa). The book gives an idea of the infinite possibilities of Budo as life school beginners and the advanced find many suggestions for the further development of their own or for his teaching.

Mabuni Kenei, carrier of the 10th Dan, was born in 1918 on Okinawa, the place of origin of the Karatedo. As the son of one of the most important Karate experts in the history of martial arts, he arrived from childhood with Karate and some of its greatest masters in touch. At the age of 34 he chaired the shito ryu. Today, in the age of, he regularly holds training courses in different parts of the world, in which he gives authentic Karatedo.
