The main Kata from three major styles of Karatedo
There are four main styles of modern karate. In addition to the by Gichin Funakoshi Shotokan geschaff enes ryû these are the schools of Goju Ryu, founded by Chojun Miyagi, the Wado Ryu, founded by Hironori Ôtsuka, and Shito ryû, founded by Mabuni Mabuni. The foundation of any Karate style are his Kata. In these complex movements all the knowledge of a school is included, their techniques and even their philosophy. The kata were in the past by the great masters of the fight with an empty hand on Okinawa, the cradle of Karatedo, geschaff s. Some of them have roots stretching back centuries. In these infl uences are Chinese Taolu as to fi nd as the experiences of Okinawans in the fight against the occupation by the samurai from Satsuma.

More specifically, based on 2540 high-precision drawings by the author and detailed technical descriptions ryû 12 kata of Goju, 17 Kata of Wado Ryu and represented 10 Kata of Shito ryû. Be ryû from the Goju all 12 Kata that has defined the style founder, presented by the two Kata Gekisai-dai to Suparinpai. With the exception of the kata Jitte also all in Wado Ryu Kata practiced are presented, including the geschaff of Master Ôtsuka enes 10 series of Kihon-Kumite-Kata. The five Pinan kata and the kata Shihozuki, Bassai, Gojushiho, Niseishi and Rohai be ryû from the Shito presented.
