The sword made of 420s stainless, hardened steel is polished silk dull. The blade goes through until handle end and is screwed together there. The metal cast handle is decorated with fine celtic ornaments. A product of the famous sword forge Marto in Toledo (Spain).
King Arthur´s history and legend is intimately linked to the magic and misterious sword Excalibur. As Merling the wizard had proclamed, only the one able to take the sword out of the stone would be the king.
Arthur knelt in front of the stone, fulfiled this deed, took the sword, went with it to the cathedral and offered it in the altar.
Arthur was anointed with the Sacred Oil and, in presence of all the barons and common people, he solemny swore to be a loyal king and to defend Truth and Justice all the days of his life.
Legend and history were mixed through time and king Arthur´s legend, The Knights of the Round Table and the magic sword Excalibur have arrived intimately united to our days.

Although nowadays there is a lot of talk and action around the medieval sword, yet little is known about its actual application. The Italian group "Nova Scrimia" presented in his new work, fencing with the sword, the system of coverage and their alignment, blows with the cutting edge and tip, the defensive model of Decken, footwork for attack and defense, and three movements of rotation the six counter-positions of the long distance - together with the respective techniques, which are developed using four different ways. In our opinion an excellent working to develop new skills and potential.

The handle parts are made of black chromium plated brass. The blade is produced of 420s stainless, hardened steel and is screwed together at the end of the handle.
We know this fight weapons combination espacially from the 16. and 17. centuries. The dagger exclusively was provided for the push and was held in the left hand. It in addition was used to defense of the opposite blade. One assumes that the dagger has arisen from the common knife types. Daggers are still carried by the armed forces to the dress uniform today.
