The sword made of 420s stainless, hardened steel is polished silk dull. The blade goes through until handle end and is screwed together there. The metal cast handle is decorated with fine celtic ornaments. A product of the famous sword forge Marto in Toledo (Spain).

King Arthur´s history and legend is intimately linked to the magic and misterious sword Excalibur. As Merling the wizard had proclamed, only the one able to take the sword out of the stone would be the king.
Arthur knelt in front of the stone, fulfiled this deed, took the sword, went with it to the cathedral and offered it in the altar.
Arthur was anointed with the Sacred Oil and, in presence of all the barons and common people, he solemny swore to be a loyal king and to defend Truth and Justice all the days of his life.
Legend and history were mixed through time and king Arthur´s legend, The Knights of the Round Table and the magic sword Excalibur have arrived intimately united to our days.

From about 1610 it was customary to provide swords or rapiers with a larger hand guard that resembles a bell. This bell was the preferred sword duel weapon, since it is less geeignetwar for sculpting more than to jump. These swords had a long, tapered blade and therefore enlarged the range.

This sword has a flexible blade and Währe suitable for fencing, but the Spitzeaus should be rounded for safety, or be protected by a rubber part.
