product details:

Karl Michael Schölz

approx. 112 pages (many explanations and illustrations) in German. Fine hardcover linen binding and real gold foil stamping. With flow chart to the take out.

As a relatively young kata, the five Heian kata have not the historical and spiritual depth like the classical kata, but they offer the ideal technical introduction to the Shotokan karate. They are considered fundamental part of basic training a Karateka, because they lead the novice to increasingly diverse and complex techniques, stands and postures through their construction and structures.

After "Heian Shodan", the second volume of the kata books by Michael Schölz on a Heian kata has come out now: now the Shotokanryu-kata Heian nidan is illuminated intensively in their technical, combative, and historical aspects. Their peculiarity, the combination of single technique for executing synchronous and sequential techniques, find special attention in the technical debate but also in the Bunkai in many graphically accurate, detail worked and memorably crafted narratives. But also technical details about individual techniques, twists and turns, positions and combinations are treated as in the Heian SHODAN. The author Karl Michael Schölz sets value but also a simple and clear language - any movement, any combination and each Bunkai describes simple and clear.
The book is an excellent training aid, not only beginners but can offer also advanced new insights, it is for the own training or as a teacher.

The books in this series are as hardcover with gold lettering, headband and a poster with hand-drawn flow diagrams to the take out before. Fine Arts from printing of binding to the and the use of precious materials make this work something special for book lovers.
